Hitler s Impact On Germany - 1489 Words

Life in Germany was worse after Hitler had joined the Nazi Party between the years of 1933 and 1939 because he had his own ideas on how he wanted Germany to be that went against the democracy. Before the Nazis came about, Germany was controlled by the Weimar Republic, the newly formed Government system that had taken over from the monarchy. Adolf Hitler helped improve Germany by giving full employment and economic growth, regaining territory that they had previously lost, increasing their pride, and successfully hosting and performing in the 1936 Olympics. Though there were many positives, there were also many negatives with the loss of freedom, individuals being arrested for simply saying something against the Nazis, and the economic growth being solely focused on military needs. As a whole, the decisions Adolf Hitler made had more of a negative impact on Germany than a positive impact as the affects of the Totalitarian rule cannot compare to the positives that he did bring to Germa ny. The Weimar Republic was weak and all of Germany were going through hardships because of the Treaty of Versailles where they had to pay back repatriations. The Great Depression also put Germany further under leaving people with no jobs therefore no money coming in.
